VW & Audi Timing Belt Tensioner Release Tool 67650

This unique tool was designed to compress the hydraulic timing belt tensioner when servicing the water pump.  The factory screw type tool is hard to use and strips easily.  This tool holds the timing belt in place against the cam gear.  There will be no need to reset the timing as the engine is held at TDC (top dead center) and the belt will be held stationary when replacing the water pump.  Additionally servicing the timing belt is easy by compressing the tensioner, slide the lock pin in the hydraulic tensioner, remove the tool and the belt can be replaced.  This tool makes both water pump replacement and timing belt replacement easy.
